Riga EcoHack: Igniting Circular Sustainability is an urban environment hackathon which for the 3rd year invites you to look at Riga from a different point of view and participate in shaping its future in cooperation with Riga municipality and DINEX. See our Challenge Landscape.
Who can join
The project aims to combine the vision of residents and students to participate in the development of business ideas and solutions that would positively affect the use of resources and waste management in Riga. You can sign up for a hackathon individually or as a team (4 to 5 participants).

What should I bring?
A laptop, charger and a water bottle to stay hydrated, everything else we will take care of.
What is a hackathon?
A hackathon is best described as an “invention marathon”. Anyone who has an interest in technology attends a hackathon to learn, build & share their creations over the course of a weekend in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
Who can apply?
It is open to any university student and professionals regardless of skills and background. We are beginner-friendly - all you need is the willingness to learn!

What if I don't have a team?
Not to worry - we will have a team building activities to help you find a suitable team. They will happen at the event on the first day of the event.
What is the end result?
The goal is to encourage learning new skills and creating innovative ideas that would positively affect the use of resources and waste management in Riga. And we hope to see new idea realisation in Riga municipality.
